Mercedes-Benz open Beijing engine plant

Mercedes-Benz marked another milestone in its China strategy with the official opening ceremony of its engine plant last week, the first for passenger car engines outside of Germany.
The €400m plant, which will produce around 250,000 six-cylinder engines every year, was built in two years after the cornerstone was laid in 2011.
An audience of around 400 guests and partners witnessed the ceremony.
