Data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows that manufacturing output in the latest three months (June, July and August 2011) was 0.4% higher than in the previous three months and 2.5% higher than in the same period last year.

Coventry, UK-based subcontractor, Cam-Tech Engineering, has taken delivery of a German-built DMU50 fiveaxis CNC machining centre from DMG.
The move brings the total number of five-axis DMG models on site, to three.
The machines are used to produce brake and clutch components for luxury, high performance and specialised cars.
