Government to revive PMTF
The Government of Pakistan has decided to rehabilitate the Karachi-based Pakistan Machine Tool Factory (PMTF) in Karachi on a public-private partnership basis.The most recent balance sheet of the PMTF shows that its total liabilities increased from Rs3.24bn in 2007 to Rs3.74bn in 2009.
It is also facing operating losses which crossed the Rs5bn mark in 2009.
