Mollart secure £1.1m US order

Mollart Engineering has won a £1.1m order to supply what is believed to be the most sophisticated deep-hole drilling machine on the market for producing cooling holes in stainless steel mould plates.
Destined for a North American moulding company, it will produce cooling holes between 6 and 50mm diameter by up to 1300mm deep in mould plates which can have up to 144 cavities.
