Faro Laser Tracker helps optimise machine symmetry

The large die casting machines manufactured by Oskar Frech GmbH + Co KG are 12m long giants but even so, extreme accuracy is required in their manufacture.
As a result, conventional measuring tools such as micrometers and alignment telescopes were no longer enough, with the company recently opting for a Laser Tracker Vantage from Faro.
The machines take around 11 months to build and the individual parts are delivered to the customers by heavy load transporters.
